A group of designers from various disciplines collaborated with a tech company to produce a prototype launch video for a new software product that was under development. Our role was to visualize what the product would mean to its target audience and serve as inspiration for the software developers as they continued to add features and develop their ideas. We were instructed not to limit ourselves to what the product was envisioned to do, but to tell a story that would extend the functionality of this product between the tech and design teams. By considering our common experiences as youth planning our work life in Singapore, we imagined what this product could do for developing professionals and companies alike, and what we could do as designers to make the product relatable, so it would appeal to its target audience. This was a cross-disciplinary effort in which all media, graphics, sound effects, music, and story scripts were original. The software title and some product details where details were redacted as the software remains under development.
